How we use
The data we collect is used for two things: to keep the site working and to understand what readers find useful. Server logs help us notice when a page is broken, slow or being hammered by a bot. Aggregate traffic numbers tell us which guides to update first — the registration page gets attention first because it moves the most readers. We do not use the data to build profiles of individual visitors, we do not sell it to third parties, and we do not run retargeting ads based on which pages a person opened.
What we collect
When you open a page, our server records the request: your IP address, the time of the visit, the page you asked for, the referrer and your browser's user agent. If you have accepted analytics cookies, a third-party counter adds a pseudonymous visitor ID and basic session data on top. The site has no login, so we do not store names, emails or payment details for visitors. If you write to the editorial inbox, we naturally keep that email thread until the matter is closed.
Third parties
The site relies on a handful of outside services. Hosting and anti-bot protection sit behind a CDN that sees every request. An analytics counter aggregates traffic numbers. When you click through to Lula Bet, the operator's own tracking takes over from there — we have no visibility into what happens inside the lulabet.co.za domain, and anything you do on that side is governed by the operator's privacy policy, not ours. We do not share raw log data with any advertiser.
Security
Traffic to the site is served over HTTPS end to end. Server-side logs are rotated and dropped on a short schedule, long enough to debug incidents but short enough that nothing accumulates for years. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form in the counter's own account, protected by two-factor authentication. If you believe your data has been exposed through our site, write to the editorial inbox and we will investigate and respond within a reasonable time.
